A Greene & Greene influenced kitchen island. This is a prototype to a larger kitchen table/island found in the Gamble house, designed by Greene & Greene in Pasadena, CA. Richard built it out of Red Maple, from a tree that fell on our property. It was done with the purpose of working out the construction details for the larger eventual piece. The drawers open on both sides and slide along oak runners.
Richard says, my wife has taken it for our kitchen and loves it.
Judy, his wife, loves anything along the Arts & Crafts line and says it fits perfectly in her kitchen.
