This crucifix is hand carved basswood. The image and all the dimensions were taken from the Shroud of Turin. Many who have studied the Shroud were involved in the creation of this piece to ensure its' accuracy in every detail. First a life size clay model was created to allow flexability in … adjusting the piece during creation to everyones satisfaction. Then the actual wood was prepared and carved to mirror the clay model.The Woodworking Studio is involved in many aspects of Religious works.
