This was a fun challenge! Everything including the hardware was custom fabricated in-house. The customer was looking for a creative way to hide there tv when not in use. I came up with a way to incorporate the hardware into the woodwork to allow the tv to slide horizontally behind the bookcase … unit. This is a method I have never seen before and was challenging to say the least. I have done po up tvs, have seen flip down and rotating, but never a hidden, horizontal configuration like this. Everything is automated from a single push of an icon on their touchscreen remote, including the bookcase led lighting. The acess door on the side of the bookcase was my favorite part!
