This design was based on using principles of Biomimicry (i.e. emulating Nature) to create a functional piece of furniture. In this case the hexagonal shapes of a honeycomb were used to create the individual pods of a cocktail table. Each pod is closed on 4 side to support an adjustable shelf contained within.
