This wall cabinet was inspired by a Japanese design aesthetic. The top floats above book-matched Texas Ebony doors. Custom made hinges out of aluminum and brass allow the doors to sit a long way back and have a large reveal. Curly maple side panels are accented with copper panels with a light … patina. All the joinery on this cabinet is left honestly exposed. The racks for pipe storage incorporate the unique floating top. While not a traditional way to display pipe this rack allows the pipes to just float in the air. These racks can slide out and be replaced for a different function such as a jewelry cabinet. The drawers have a spanish cedar lining for optimal tobacco storage. The cabinet is both functional and a piece of art. It can be hung on a wall or left standing on a table.
