Japanese style bridge

CustomMade by David Sipos

The bridges were designed for a renovation of the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center in Los Angeles, CA, (Little Tokyo). Based on the traditional Japanese building- carpentry techniques, mortise and tenon joinery is used throughout the project. Each mortise is secured with a square peg to keep it in place. No metal fasteners or glue were used to make the support structures or the upright parts.
