This desk was designed to provide a large, function work surface in a way that did not appear to be massive, or "clunky".
This was achieved by using an open concept without modesty panel. The mass of the top was also visually lighted through the use of a deep undercut bevel around the entire perimeter of the edge.
Top top is cantilevered off the wall where a locking drawer pedestal with 2 box over single file drawer is located. The drawer boxes are dovetailed solid maple. The opposite end of the top is supported by a cylinder pedestal, and all wiring is concealed by way of a hidden channel in the underside of the top.
