This piece was a corporate gift, it's design was inspired by a wine box. The box carries an Inukshuk carved by an Inuit artist. We teamed up with the artist to create this custom gift. The solid oak wood slab had an interesting scar hidden in it. Once the larger slab was sliced in two it was revealed. We made it the focal point of the design. The client's company is laser engraved in the lid. (Blurred for privacy.)
