Vintage Kitchen
CustomMade by James Kempner
The original butler's pantry seen in the background was the inspiration for the new cabinetry in this vintage style kitchen, which had previously sported gray Formica cabinets from an earlier remodel during the 70's.
As in many kitchens, the island becomes the key focal point and work area, and
… the mahogany used here was finished to replicate an 'antique' feel.
Many drawers on both sides allow for well organized storage, fitted with dividers, and function with concealed 'soft-close' slides.
Cabinet doors are fitted with old fashioned mortised 'ball tip' hinges, and turn latches, in keeping with original hardware in the butler's pantry.
Perimeter cabinetry including a desk area and stove surround, blend seamlessly into the existing space.
