The pendant on this necklace is a beautiful Tibetan prayer box. The front of the lotus shaped silver box is detailed with fine filagree and is decorated with small lapis and coral stones. The back of the pendant is embossed and can open to carry prayers or sacred amulets. The necklace is strung … on artificial sinew and is very strong. The lapis stones have a nice soft patina and are not shiny. The coral in this necklace is very old and came from an old necklace. The filagree silver beads, with coral, are from Nepal and the other filagree silver beads are old and from Afghanistan. The necklace is completed with a strong filagree silver clasp and a hand stamped artist tag. The length is 18.5 inches.
