Leafy Sea Dragons are one of the rarer types of seahorses and are infamous for having heart attacks if they are spooked. They come from mangroves that have lots of hiding places, so they hardly interact with other organisms and their camouflage makes them look like leaf litter.
At aquariums nationwide there are specific instructions NOT to take pictures with a flash because it will give them a heart attack.
I wanted to portray them as strong fish destroying the city of Boston because they wouldn't get a chance to be that commanding otherwise, right? :-)
