Leafy Seadragon
CustomMade by Tamar Kingan
Leafy Sea Dragons are one of the rarer types of seahorses and are infamous for having heart attacks if they are spooked. They come from mangroves that have lots of hiding places, so they hardly interact with other organisms and their camouflage makes them look like leaf litter.
At aquariums
… nationwide there are specific instructions NOT to take pictures with a flash because it will give them a heart attack.
I wanted to portray them as strong fish destroying the city of Boston because they wouldn't get a chance to be that commanding otherwise, right? :-)

This project went beyond all of my expectations. Tamar was always in contact, keeping me up to date on how the project was going and sent pictures along the way. She was extremely professional and friendly! The painting itself is amazing! Its exactly what I hoped it would be and is displayed proudly on my wall. I will be recommending her to friends and family for sure!!!

Book painting
by Allison G. Jul 23rd 2012
Working with Tamar was an amazing experience. I told her what I was thinking and what concepts I wanted to incorporate: my favorite books, the colors of the Argentinean flag since it's indicative of some of my heritage and different things that I wanted it to be similar to (like "The Giving Tree") . She was great at helping me come up with a vision since I didn't know exactly what I wanted, only little pieces. She updated me with photos of the painting every step of the way, which made the experience so exciting. This is so much better than buying any poster in a store; this painting has so much personal value to me! I can't wait to bring it home and hang it amongst my books. Having never ordered anything CustomMade before I can say that I will definitely be coming back and certainly referring Tamar to my friends.
