One evening, I had a dream that God had created a planet where all of the painters of the past lived together. I imagined Chagall chatting with Michelangelo, Leonardo talking with Modigliani. They were all there ! When I woke up I was still imbued with my dream and I had the idea of painting this … planet and its most illustrious inhabitants. This enormous work proved unworkable as a painting, it would be solely viable as a film work.
However still haunted by the idea, I found an alternative. I would depict these numerous artists in individual paintings, as I imagined them in the intemacy of their studios. After doing a lot of research and making some miticulous choices, I began the creation of 25 paintings, representing my favorite artists.
Today, I hope that they will give you as much pleasure as they gave me....
