The ultimate desk. The large paisley shaped work surface doubles as a small conference table with a 48" round end. The top has an amazing tortoise shell under effect that has been highly worked by first carving the pattern, applying gold leaf, spraying with candy apple red lacquer and then clear coating to a water wet looking finish. The modesty panel is 1/4" plate aluminum with stunning hand ground textures. The drawer pedestal has a free form shape and is constructed of laminated wood.
I have built several versions of this desk over the years but this one is my favorite.
