A massive natural-edged slab of curly maple forms the headboard of this magnificent bed. At the left edge of the headboard, a fossilized nautilus shell has been inlaid into the slab where a knot once existed. The rest of the bed frame is made from hefty cherry planks. The top of nightstands are made of the same free-edged maple slab as the headboard. Drawer fronts and doors are veneered with more of the same material and set within a cherry frame. Pulls are handmade of cherry. Finished with a hand-rubbed oil/urethane blend.
