Living Room Fire Screen
This was the second in a series of highly decorated fireplace surrounds and screens that I made for a client. For the bordeer of this surround I relied heavily on French Gothic work for inspiration for the leaf work and the repousse imps in the corners and the apex of the arch.The clients' penchant for detail allowed me the opportunity to explore this mulyilayereddesign ith built up mouldings and dentil work. As in the other fire screens in this series using a single panel door for the screen leaves an unobstructed view of the fire , alleviates the need for a place to set the screen aside and yet allows full access while tending the fire.
