While this chair is clearly original, the inspiration for working with these lines and angles came from the work of George Nakashima. His angular bases used for his dining tables are a challenge to bring into a seating design without sacrificing comfort. It was with some trepidation that I took to making a chair with no curves, but I am amazed at the comfort these pieces offer in their angular masculinity. I continue to learn.
