This side table features an eye-catching top of macassar ebony with Gaboon ebony inlay as well as an ebony and curly maple center medallion. The carved cherry edging is hand carved, with a curly maple bead to accent the intersection with the top panel. The cherry legs and aprons are hand carved to gently curved and bowed forms. All cherry parts are ebonized, giving the piece a dramatic, slightly primitive sensibility.
