This Swedish Style Mirror was inspired by an example of an 18th century Swedish frame. The corner and center flower detail is hand carved and the flat panel is painted with egg tempera. The gilded surfaces as shown are water gilded with 23 karat gold leaf over gesso and gilders clay. The entire frame is toned to softly antiqued appearance. Other karat weights of gold leaf including silver leaf and palladium are available. The painted panel can be ordered in a variety of colors. Mirror selection includes flat, beveled or Antique Reproduction mirror (as shown). This mirror can be ordered in molding widths 2", 3" and 4". Larger size mirrors will require wider moldings.Style number SW-2-FLWR-23 (2" molding)
