This is done from Anigre, Purpleheart, and yellowheart wood. All facial features are sanded down flush with the plaque / Anigre wood. The hair is left raised at 1/6" to make it dimensional . The hair in both are purpleheart and yellowheart wood. From the photos a sketch was drawn and from the sketch the actual piece was routed out and the inlay material which is 20,000 of an inch was put back into the route with tweezers.
