This project was a complete remodel at Lake Tahoe, Nv., for a new Kitchen, Dining Room & the addition of a new Library - Loft sanctuary over the kitchen by way of a new custom spiral staircase. The kitchen cabinets were made from select knotty alder with hand wiped stain & chocolate glaze … top-coated with a life-time catalized satin varnish. topped off with crown & mold accents in black satin with a hand rubbed - thru finish. The hardware is themed as tree branches in bronze. The Granite tops with a leather texture finish. New Fireplace stone of a mixed natural granite quarry. Hand forged Fireplace tools. Kitchen hood hand forged in copper & iron. Spiral staircase & balcony railings, hand forged balusters with vines, all antiqued in natural earth colors, mixing square wood posts throughout. All together invokes the feel of bringing the outside indoors for the High Country Mountain Retreat experience, mixing endless forms of woods & metals that embodies the spirit of summer or deep winter mountain lodgings.
