This dining table and sideboard were made from a set of planks from one log of Pennsylvania black walnut. The top and legs of the table are formed of two planks glued together, with the natural edge left on the outside. The table is also higher than standard, and accompanbied by bar-height stools. The finish starts with an linseed oil mixture that accentuates the dark rich colors of black walnut. After drying fully, a top coating of pre-catalyzed lacquer was applied for durability and ease of use.
