Native American War Shield
CustomMade by Richard P. Harber Jr.
This Native American War Shield is made from cowhide wet-formed over a frame of willow branches. Everything is tied together with rawhide and the back is covered with a rabbit skin. Arm wraps to hold the shield are made from hair-on cowhide. Each image and color on the shield has a meaning. Visit the "Artwork" page on www.ricsleather.com for an explanation of the meanings and how the shield was constructed.
