I intended Interlocking Hearts to be an interchangeable centerpiece, but I could not develop a suitable connector that was both aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound. It was a client, looking at the silver prototype I had left on my bench, who immediately knew that it needed to be a … permanent element. Stringing Interlocking Hearts directly to the 2 largest South Sea pearls and using a mystery clasp between the 2 center back pearls was the perfect solution.

950 platinum is woven by hand, flat, off loom and then shaped into Interlocking Hearts; 8 baroque cultured Australian South Sea pearls, knotted on silk.
