The old Afghan silver pendant on this necklace is of good quality and detail. The two larger triangular silver beads are from a necklace I used to wear. I used them on this necklace because they complimented the Afghan pendant so well. The Carnelian trade beads, in this piece, are also old. One … way to check for old trade beads is to look at the sides where the holes are, if they are rubbed flat, you can be sure they have been worn. I also used Turquoise and various silver beads from India, Ethiopia and the Hill Tribes of Northern Thailand. The necklace is strung on artificial sinew and is completed with a delicate silver clasp and a hand stamped artist tag. The length is 22.5 inches.
