This Kitchen was designed to lure you in from the entry, family & dining room with the eye catching hand forged wine captain doors, made of iron, bronze & copper. The details and areas of interest about the kitchen draws one further inward with craftmanship, 'not in competition', suggesting oid … style simple french country. Doors - drawer fronts made from Knotty Alder wood. We hand finished 9 multi-layers of antique glasing, stain & color coatings, & artistic dry brushing. The focal point is the hearth, a regeneration of old english Ingleside hood & nitch anchors,at the core of this kitchen. But first, developing a lighting plan, in colaboration, a great ceiling must be developed from the top down in harmony with cabinetry. The Island, english country, was concepted to 'feel' as an old eclectic furniture piece , but actually built-in. Choosing a smooth hardwood and a different color, ' to 'de-formalize'. White with meringue glazing, dry brush with extra heavy rub-thru on edge for that time worn look. All elements from conception through installation including the reclaimed old growth wood flooring.
