The process for this these unique designs is called an Aperture pour, a method for creating one of a kind designs using a mixture of compatible glasses loaded onto a stainless steel mesh screen and heating it to 1700 so that the molten glass can pour through the holes and land onto a prepared shelf.

PIECES ARE FREE FORMED IN THE KILN AND ARE APPROXIMATELY 6" TO 12" IN DIAMETER. THE RESULTING PIECE CAN BE USE IN ITS ORGANIC FORM, OR CAN BE CUT INTO SMALLER PIECES AND USED AS A DESIGN ELEMENT IN ANOTHER PROJECT.
