Pencil Post Bed

This bed is made entirely of locally sourced air dried Curly maple and cherry. It is a queen size bed, and the posts stand seven feet tall as pictured, without a canopy or finials. The headboard shape is my own design, and the mattress is supported entirely by elm slats. The elm is used because … it is very strong and flexible, making for a Very comfortable bed. The entire bed knocks down, and is easily moved into any bed room. The cherry posts are a full 3" across where the rails are attatched, and they taper to ~3/4" at the top, and 1 1/4" at the base. The bed is very rigid, as well as being stunningly beautiful. There are several options available for this bed. A canopy can be ordered, which adds about $400 to the cost, and there are many styles of finial that I can turn to go with the tester. The rails can be made in curly maple for an additional $150, and I can even custom design a headboard for you!

During the bidding process Nathan was very receptive. always replied back and had great things to say. and then after i sent him the first half of the money, he disappeared. BEWARE of this maker. Not someone you wanna do business with.

Walnut Floating Wall Shelf

Nathan was very communicative and prompt during the bidding process. I chose him to create my shelves in large part because of his customer service. However, once I sent him my first deposit, he failed to keep me updated on the project. To this day (months later) he has still not completed my project, he has failed to return emails and other forms of outreach and he has chosen not to return my deposit. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated that I chose Nathan. At this point, all I want is to have my deposit returned and to be able to commission another maker to complete my project. Customer beware.

teak outdoor dining table

Nathan made an 11 foot teak trestle table for our porch. His craftsmanship is outstanding both in construction and finish. He was delayed a couple of months from his original estimated delivery date and it would have been ideal if he had kept in touch to reset expectations. That said, it was worth the extra wait - the finished product far exceeded our expectations.

Wooden steering wheel

I had a lot of questions for Nathan so we exchanged several emails and I sent him some web sites to look at as well as several photos. After all the exchanges I was satisfied that Nathan understood what I wanted. I was very happy with the finished product it was of a very high professional level and it matched up very well with what we had talked about. His recommendation for the type of wood to use was excellent and the dimensions were perfect. I a custom one of a kind wooden steering wheel that fits my hands perfectly.

Children's Desks

Nathan designed and built two custom size desks for my little boys' room. They are beautiful! And as we live 500 miles away from him, Nathan had to do the entire project via phone coversations and e-mails, yet he managed to perfectly understand and provide exactly what I had envisioned. He is a delightful person and great to work with; very talented and enthusiastic about his work. He knows a lot about furniture and design, so let him offer opinions.. you may end up with something even better than you had imagined! He personally oversaw the delivery of the desks and set them up in my home. Highly, highly recommend this business.
