Philadelphia Chippendale Highboy

Beautifully figured Mahogany displayed on a grand proportioned case piece. Great attention was given to every aspect of this reproduction. From the handcarved ball and claw feet and shell motif drawer face to the hand fluted quartered columns leading to a … graceful fret work, every detail meets with exacting standards. The highboy is crowned with an elaborate gooseneck pediment with realistic carved torches, pierced lattice, sunflowers and a central cartouche. The case sides are hand planed from a single board and the unit received a hand rubbed lacquer finish. The pierced brass backplates and bails were cast and finished in a tradition period appropriate process to assure the historical authenticity of this piece.
