The Photographers Chair was commissioned by Penelope Daborn Ltd. Starting the late 1990's and ongoing, I have had the privilege of working with Penny Daborn, a very talented interior decorator in Portland's "Old Port. Together we have designed many unique upholstered pieces for her clients. We made … an exact copy of an antique French Photographers chair Penny had in her show room for years. It has been one of the most challenging projects I have ever worked on and we were very pleased with the results.

I needed a small couch for a particular space but what I got was much more than that. The couch is beautiful, sturdy and comfortable. It was a pleasure to deal with someone who not only does excellent work, but does it efficiently and reasonably. From my first posting request to the delivery, everything went as smoothly as possible and Ashley was engaging and enthusiastic in our communications. It was so much easier than I expected - I am looking around the house wondering what else I might need...

Upholstered bench

I was very happy with Ashley's work. He was professional and easy to deal with. Although the project came in late due to an illness, delivery was rushed to make up for that which I appreciated. The finished product was beautiful and very comfortable. I would definitely use him again.

A cloth upholstered swivel recliner

Ashley responded promptly, gave us advice and in the end made a product that functions well (week one) and matches the other furniture, which was one of the objectives. I would definitely use him them again and would recommend them to others.
