This plate is fired in an electic kiln to a high temperature. This firing pocess ensures durability in the clay and glaze. This piece has been treated with a slip decoration.on the inside in a spiral design when the clay was still wet. The transparent green tint glaze gives the plate a glossy surface and allows the slip to show through. The high sides of the plate gives it versitility in function. It also fits nicely in a plate rack if used for display.
