About this item
Approximately $2,000 - $2,500
This handmade Queen Anne style chest of drawers is based on a dresser built by Job and John Townsend in Rhode Island around 1760.
This chest of drawers has five drawers and is built of solid cherry with poplar as the secondary wood. Design elements include ogee bracket feet, base molding, crown molding, lipped drawers and reproduction brass hardware. Full hand cut dovetail construction was used through out this custom dresser with exposed half blind dovetails on top. The finish is a hand rubbed shellac over aniline dye.
