This is an unusual piece and I am not quite sure of its age as its lines were very simple, which allowed me to go totally wild on the upholstery. Making a piece like this, takes a lot of mental work. I often have to look at it for a few days before I can decide exactly how all the fabrics are going … to fit together. My specialty is mixing pattern is mixing pattern and colour, and getting the right harmony between the two. I also had a set of hand painted chairs that went with with the settee, that ultimately sold to a client who used then in her dining room. My style is very much influenced by the historical design and global cultures, and I would call define it as Bohemian Chic.

I believe in the producing pieces that are as unique as the individual who is purchasing them. I also believe and in the principals of ethical purchasing, and designing and producing products that promote sustainability, our local artistic community and craftsman.
