In Recycled Walnut
CustomMade by Sheldon Perry
FSC (sustainably grown) walnut was the wood of choice for this kitchen, but when none was available, we decided to use recycled material. Longleaf Lumber in Cambridge, MA provided us with beautiful walnut from old barn beams. The rich red-brown color and the quality of the material are far nicer than anything on the market today. The painted upper cabinetry adds contrast, making this kitchen simply stunning !

White and Bright Kitchen
by Ronnie Sep 17th 2012
The kitchen is intentionally white and bright because it is an interior space. Yet, the theme of “earth and water” brings a warm and elegant feel to the kitchen. Sheldon’s task was to bring my vision of this space into the look and feel of the custom cabinetry. In particular, the curve of the island and the intersection of the painted wood, granite, stainless steel and birds eye maple surfaces presented a clear challenge. I am thrilled with the look and feel of the completed kitchen. I continue to be amazed by the beauty of the center island. There is a mystery to the way that Sheldon conjoined all the pieces. In addition, the cabinetry is beautifully executed in a soft painted finish. And the lighted display boxes, in their simplicity, perfectly showcase my colorful glass pieces.
