SWEPT LEG™ OAK BURL TABLE
This dining table top is comprised of two matched Red Oak Burl Slabs, separated by a narrow open joint bridged with Cherry Butterfly Keys. Additional Cherry Butterflies span natural seams in the Burls. Overall table length is five feet, by approximately 32" wide,
… seating 6-8.
The elliptical Swept Legs are of Vermont Cherry, harvested from the same tree. The legs are my original design, made of layered strips of wood, laminated and compressed in custom built forms, and then shaped freehand.
