This Windsor chair was made entirely by hand. The arm riven from the log and steambent. The seat is carved from a single wide plank of pine. The legs and armposts were hand turned in the Rhode Island style.Over the years I have built several hundred Windsors in both plain or antiqued paint … finishes. The proportioning and balance of these chairs is critical. Their value lies in understanding the development of the techniques that were in place when the originals were produced.
