This desk is made from ash, black walnut, and cherry. It could be made larger and modified to serve as a computer center. The end panels, writing surface, tambor front and back and the drawer fronts are walnut; the frame parts and the back of the interior are ash, and the cubby hole unit is … cherry. The back of the desk is finished and is made as a large fixed tambor. A second movable tambor comes down to cover the front of the desk. The three drawers are dovetailed front and back and have hard maple guides top, bottom, and sides. The bottom drawer will accept either legal or letter size hanging files.
