Salem Queen Anne Side Chair
CustomMade by Stephen Skillins
This beautiful piece is a replica of a 1730s side chair made in Salem MA by an unknown maker. Chair is on display at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem MA (see picture of original chair above). Solid Cherry, pined mortise and tenon joinery, splat curves to your back, hand carved shell on crest rail … ( all one piece not a glued on carving), balloon slip-seat, cabriole legs, turned stretchers, traditional upholstery (fabric can be easily changed to match any decor). Chair is completely hand made and took about 3 weeks to complete.
