Screen Room Divider - custom made, relief and 3-D carving, cherry wood, curly cherry veneer, glass, oil finish.
I submitted several design ideas that all incorporated the clients preferences ranging from African sculptural theme to ocean waves to favorite flowers. The sense of the space was to create a cozy area in the sun room on one side but also to keep an open, light view into both rooms.
The chosen theme of the lotus plant with large umbrella like leaves in a relief, a half open bud and a fully formed flower carved in solid cherry was the more complex and challenging project. This divider is in nine pieces, installed on-site. The room divider can be dis-mantled.
