The inspiration for this coffee table was based on a tree. Not only is the overall shape is much like a tree, the entire structure of this functional art is built in layers, similar to growth rings in a tree. Every 8 layers is made out of different species of exotic and domestic solid hardwoods, … consisting of over a thousand pieces in total.
The top is hand inlaid with solid hardwoods and various stone mixes, then relief carved for a beautiful life like texture. The relief was balanced just right, not take away from the table's functionality. You can safely place objects such as glasses and plates safely over it, with or without an optional glass top. A durable, high solids penetrating/hardening oil provides a lustrous and natural hand rubbed finish.

Of course, as always is the case with all of our products, everything from the shape, species, and size to the top design can be customized.
