Sculpture | Forest
The central verticals are made from one aspen log that has been sliced in two. The inner faces are sanded smooth. The two pieces are painted with acrylic paints. The back panels are made of birch plywood painted with dacrylic. The two white drawings are my own, from a long-standing collection of glyphs and symbols culled from my notebooks. The piece has been varnished; the varnish has been rubbed with gentle abrasive to reduce the sheen to a minimum.
