Made of highly figured Claro Walnut solids and veneers. The entire project started with a stack of exceptional 10/4 boards, the best and most figured of which i culled to cut the veneer for the sides, drawer fronts, desk surface, door panels, and crest. Everything else is solid. The desk supports extend automatically when the writing surface is lowered. The pineapple at the crest is the English symbol of hospitality. www.westernwood.net
