Genuine gemstones are hand set in a round bezel setting with a thin dainty halo around the stone. I am able to craft any size round gemstone in this style, and can use Sterling Silver, 14k Gold, 14k White Gold, and 14k Rose Gold. I prefer the round gemstones to be from 4mm to 8mm because any smaller will get lost and any larger are usually too heavy and will slouch down.
Gemstones that I have set in this manner in the past have included: Tanzanite, Black Spinel (which look like Black Diamond), Citrine, Garnet, Rhodolite Garnet, Swiss Blue Topaz, dark London Blue Topaz, White Topaz, Pink Topaz, Ruby, and Sapphire.
