This is my first experience with CustomMade, and I couldn't be happier! I had what I thought was a far-fetched idea to make a custom candle-holder as a gift for a friend's wedding. I contacted wrough-iron workers, sculptors, local artists, and none could help me. I came across CustomMade during a web search and posted my project with little hope (and time!) left. To my surprise, Alex contacted me right away! He was very professional, and within a few hours, we were exchanging messages about project ideas. I was still skeptical of the CustomMade process, but his always-prompt responses quelled my anxiety. Even from across the country, his thoughtful responses and terrific design input made me feel like I had known him or been working with him for years! His communication skills go far beyond expectations. I could "see" my project being made right before my eyes! I totally felt like I was a part of what was being done and could give input at every step. Even when he ran into a minor snafu while he was working on the project ridiculously late at night, he let me know about it right away and had trouble-shot a solution by morning! His dedication to completing the project in the short time frame that we had set was truly amazing. When I finally got to hold the piece in my hands, I was so excited. The craftsmanship was awesome, and it was exactly how I imagined it! It was so great to have something that was in my head turn into a reality! Needless to say, my friends were blown away by their present. =) I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Alex to anyone who is considering accepting a proposal from him. I truly enjoyed working with him and am actually a little bummed that our collaboration is over! He is motivated, highly responsive, super aware of the project timeline, very skilled, extremely artistic, and just down-right smart about what he's doing! He's awesome - would definitely "hire" him again!
