The solid walnut cheese boards, are 15" long by 6" wide by ¾" thick. The "sunburst" inlay was created using 2 different diameter Brass rods, that are hand cut and inlaid. For the Moon & Stars Inlay, I did the same using copper and aluminum rods.
The original style of this board was created and
… produced by my uncle, Phillip Lloyd Powell, and his partner, Paul Evans of New Hope, PA, internationally known designers and artists of fine art and furniture. In his memory, I made these like his, but instead, used my style of metal inlaying. He had used pewter strips.
Their Cheese Boards have sold at Solo/Rago Auction House, in Lambertville N.J for over $800.00.
