The solid walnut cheese boards, are 15" long by 6" wide by ¾" thick. The "sunburst" inlay was created using 2 different diameter Brass rods, that are hand cut and inlaid. For the Moon & Stars Inlay, I did the same using copper and aluminum rods.
The original style of this board was created and produced by my uncle, Phillip Lloyd Powell, and his partner, Paul Evans of New Hope, PA, internationally known designers and artists of fine art and furniture. In his memory, I made these like his, but instead, used my style of metal inlaying. He had used pewter strips.
Their Cheese Boards have sold at Solo/Rago Auction House, in Lambertville N.J for over $800.00.
