Stained Glass Hexagonal Lamp With Fused Glass Elements, Copper Overlays And Glass Bead Strands - Moroccan Lamp
CustomMade by Michelle Caron
This piece is a six-sided table lamp. The central design was inspired by a Khamsa (Hand of Fatima) from Khenifra in central Morocco. It is composed of six stained glass panels with a turquoise fused glass cabochon at the center of each. Solder sculpting on the seams adds a decorative flair. … The copper overlays for the skirt design are based on woven textile designs from Morocco. The bead strands add a delicate grace to the overall look of the lamp. Each strand is a unique composition of colored glass beads. The lamp fixture sits atop a copper shaft that is decorated with solder sculpting and then given a copper patina to match the underlying metal. The base is composed of six slate wedges and framed in mahogany.
