Stained Glass Windows For Churches
I had an opportunity to do windows for a Baptist church and this is one I created for them. The lady that donated this window was dying so I went a litte overboard on the background and am glad now that I did.
Most of the glass is kokomo with the face, hands, and feet made with flashed glass that has been sandblasted, painted, and fired.
Notice all the jewels? That border was rough but I think it turned out pretty good. These windows have made it through two hurricanes so far without any damages. If you're wondering what I'm talking about look at the map for Anahuac, Texas and see where Rita and Ike came into the coast. Someone was praying!!!
I've added a couple extra pics. One is a Bible and rose. This custom made beveled glass in the rose isn't something you see everyday. The other is a wall 24' long in a Methodist church in Goodrich Tx. We put the windows surrounding a large wooden cross and mounted them in shadow boxes since there wasn't an open window there.
