The traditional rectangular bookcases rarely offer the opportunity to display anything else other than books. Well, not with this bookcase.

The stepped design would allow you to unleash your interior design potential by giving you a place where you can put items such as family photographs, … statuettes, or other decorative objects. The open compartment was specially requested by the customer who bought the bookcase; the customer needed to have access to that compartment from both sides of the bookcase.

The material used was Baltic birch plywood for the larger panels and Baltic birch hardwood for the trim. The subtle difference in colour between the hardwood and the plywood emphasizes the contour and the shape of the bookcase.
