Where do you put your coffee table books when you run out of space on your coffee table? On your "Table of Contents" of course! Our client, a professional photographer came to us with this concept. He wanted to leave a collection of books out without shelving them and without leaving them on … the floor. He proposed low slung "plank" tables to display the stacks. Drawing from our surroundings (beautiful and industrial) we selected reclaimed antique pine beams for our surfaces. These were hand oiled, sanded lightly and placed on top of a simple matching apron support system. The effect is that the planks appear to float off of the floor. Simple design at its best!
